Happy New Year! Since my last posting, Ava has been busy changing and growing. As she approaches her 1st birthday, she started pulling herself up onto anything and everything she can, in addition she is 'cruising' in circles around the coffee table. She has mastered the art of crawling and is a speed demon. She has six teeth now; 4 on top and 2 on bottom.
Over the past 6 months I have been trying to teach her sign language. I have only been doing a few basic sings with her; milk, eat, done, drink. She just started signing milk. I don’t think she is specifically asking for milk, just food in general. At the same time, she started clapping and lifting her arms when we say ‘so big’.
